Advice for the Winter

Around this time, the animals have a fed themselves full to grow an extra layer of fat on their bodies and are hiding away in a cave, a cove, a dam, or a tree for season of hibernation.

If only we could do just the same? Just sit around eating enjoying each others company and warming our bodies while the winter passes over us. While we might not have the luxury of bypassing the cold front of snow and guzzling winter winds there are some plans we can put into action to keep us warm, energized and healthy during the winter.

A few tips from Dr. Sebi, a Self-taught Holistic Genius Practitioner:

Don't over-do the hot showers--even if you're freezing. Trying sticking to warm or lukewarm water for 5 minutes or less.
Especially for those with dry, cracked, chaffing or eczema skin. Shorter showers also attributes to sustainable energy in your home and community.
Take the time (5-10minutes) after showering to throughly moisturize your skin from head to toe; allowing the moisturizer to absorb into your pores and replenish your skin completely.

Drink more water, not less- A GALLON per day is the goal.
Tis the Season to drink Coffee, Hot Chocolate, Cider, Teas and other warming treats.
However, water-- pure H20 is what your body needs to replenish itself as it is made of the highest percentage of your body's concentration.
The body needs, hydration without additives, boosters, sweeteners, fillers and the like.

Healthy Fat Heavy Foods: avacodos, nuts, fish oils, whole eggs, yogurt, coconut milk, extra virgin olive oil, etc.
Avoid Saturated Fatty Foods, Deep Fried Quick Eats, etc. SIMPLY PUT, they deplete energy, cause mucous build up in the body, cause one to be lethargic,  unmotivated and even constipated.
